Devitrification is a fact of fusing. Some types of glass lose their glossy surface easier than others but most every glass will grow devitrification crystals if given enough time at high temperatures. We offer several alternatives to eliminate this problem. Each spray is designed for specific temperature ranges.
1100° Bending Glaze Designed to mature at 1100°F, this overglaze can be brushed or sprayed directly onto the surface or ground edges of a piece of glass to prevent devitrification during the slumping cycle. Ideal for single layer bending such as bent lamp panels. NOT safe for food-bearing surfaces.
