Although these are not originally sold as temperature resistant, a great lamp worker, Eli Aller, swears they are his favorite studio glove and we have to agree. They are thin enough that you can pick up small objects and are designed to be cut and abrasion resistant. They are perfect for torch work, opening hot kilns, sorting through glass scraps or working in front of a glory hole or fire bucket. You can use these gloves alone or as protective liners for the heavy duty Kevlar glove. They are not recommended for picking up molten glass. Chose between men’s or ladies sizes.
SLEEVE Protect your arm from the radiant heat of hot glass. These Kevlar arm sleeves are temperature resistant and easy to put on and take off, yet they are flexible and comfortable, you hardly notice that you are wearing one. They are great to use when opening a hot kiln for combing or just to check the progress of glass melt. They also work well when working in the furnace or on a torch. It is better to be safe than sorry and these sleeve proctors will give you a much greater degree of protection than a cotton or fabric sleeve. A must have for every hot glass studio, whether you are working with a kiln, torch or furnace.
Sold as a single sleeve.
