MOLDS

 |
| Fusion Headquarters offers you two glass sink shapes to choose from, Our original Custom Sink Mold and the new Contemporary Sink Mold.
The trick to getting good commercial grade sink molds is to put in the time working with contractors, glass artists and metal spinners to get unique shapes that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Both of our sink molds accommodate up to a 22” blank, have smooth transitioned sides for a beautiful shape, a gently flared lip to help keep your glass on center when slumping, a good bottom curvature so they drain properly and are made from durable 18 gauge 300 series stainless steel. We didn't just adapt this mold from a bowl or a wok, instead we developed a shape that will please not only the custom designers but the building inspector as well.

| Custom Designed 22" Sink Mold
Our original Custom Sink Mold produces a wider, shallower finished sink. It has slightly flattened bottom radius. This mold has a 22" diameter
and 7-½" tall and a 22” diameter blank produces
a sink that is approximately 17" in diameter and
5" tall. To make the glass blank for the sink you
can either fuse your own slab or use our
specially designed Stainless Steel Casting
Ring (CASRIN).

Contemporary Design 22" Sink Mold Our new Contemporary Sink Mold has a stylish deeper profile, narrower in the lower third with a rounder bottom. The mold is also 22” in diameter and is 7-¼” tall. In this mold a 22” blank will net a vessel that is approximately 17-3/8” in diameter and 6-3/8” tall. These molds are not limited to only making sinks. They are also great for bending smaller pieces of glass. To make the glass blank for the sink you can either fuse your own slab or use our specially designed Stainless Steel Casting Ring (CASRIN).

The Contemporary Sink Mold is great for both sinks and other bowl forms (serving bowls, lamp shade, table art) such as the heavily textured glass bowl shown in the center of the photo. Notice how the metal mold is sitting on a ring. Because the mold has a round bottom, the ring (Stainless Steel Mold Stand (MOLSTA) is used in the kiln to keep the mold level and on center.
