Introducing the New Studio Pro 17 with TAP Controller and Solid State Relays

Measuring in at 17″ x 17″ x 6.5″ the Studio Pro 17 is the largest 120V, home studio glass kiln in the industry. The Studio Pro 17 features surface mounted heating elements for maximum heat transfer, a Superwool fiber lid for efficiency and increased firing speed, Dual Access Design for precision glass placement and is available with the new state of the art digital TAP Controller and Quiet Drive Solid State Relays.

120V studio kilns can often be underpowered, not so with the Studio Pro 17. The 3” Superwool lid and surface mounted heating elements combine to offer exceptionally fast heat-up with fusing temperatures achieved in about 1 hour! This performance helps to reduce or eliminate devitrification.

The Studio Pro 17 is constructed with a combination of fiber and firebrick. This combination realizes the best of both worlds as the fiber blocks heat for quick heat-up and the firebrick acts somewhat as a brake to minimize temperature swings which makes performance smooth and tight. It’s an awesome combo and performs very well.

Of course the Studio Pro 17 is a member of our Studio Pro line which offers dual access. Dual access allows the artist to enter the chamber through the front for unobstructed and precision glass placement or through the lid for form setting and vertical approach manipulation.
