22 Karat Gold Leaf

Gold, Silver and leaf are very, very, very thin layers of precious metals which can be used in glass fusing or blowing to add brilliant, rich coloring. We have chosen the highest grade metals to achieve the most intense results. These metals can be fused either between layers or just applied to the top of a piece during a slump. Their temperature range 1000°F – 1450°F with the intense colors happening when they are applied at the low end of the firing range. Each book contains 20 leaves.

When fused between layers of glass, a single piece of
gold leaf will almost always disappear. You need to use two or more layers to
actually see the gold. Many people prefer to use Golf Foil instead. It is thicker
and you only need to use one layer to get outstanding results.
