Gold Rush
Precious Metal pens are easy to use are the best way to add real Gold, Platinum
or Copper to you fused and slumped art work. They can be used on Ceramics,
Borosilicate Glass or Art glass like Bullseye, Oceanside or Wissmach.
For best results, please follow these suggested
instructions prior to use:
Place pen tip down in a container and leave tip down for
at least 24 hours prior to use.
When ready to use your pen, do not shake the pen.
Leave the pen tip-down and depress the tip onto a flat surface.
Hold tip to the surface for 30 to 60 seconds, lifting the
tip on and off the paper occasionally to help the flow of the material.
Once the tip is completely filled with material the pen
is ready to use.
NOTE: Make sure to store the pen TIP DOWN to ensure
material is near the tip for future use.
Depress the tip several times to get the liquid flowing. Apply thin
layers to a very clean surfaces. Allow to dry in a dust free environment (cover
with a box) before firing.
The firing range is 1100F (590C) – 1450F (787C). The best
results are achieved by holding the peak temperature for 10 minutes. It is best to test the firing in you kiln
first. If fired for too long they can burn
out, too fast of a fire could lead to the product simply not maturing and
wiping off.
